What to Wear - tips!

It can often be difficult to decide what to wear to your photo session, I've listed some helpful tips below. Need some visual inspiration? Have a look at my Pinterest page for more help.

If your struggling to get the wardrobe ball rolling, start with one outfit or accessory that you love and build from their with complimentary colours.

Matching is out. Coordinating is in. Wearing the same coloured shirt, pants, shoes, etc looks a bit awkward and unnatural. Coordinating colour is what really brings a wardrobe together. Expression is important, we want to see your personality through your wardrobe.

Stay away from fluorescents!  They tend to cast unwanted light and colour on faces, necks and hair.

Avoid clothing with logos on them.  Unnecessary and distracting!

Stay away from wearing a lot of green when having photos taken in grassy/wooded areas. It’s just too much green. Green as an accent color is great, though! You want to stand out among all the greenery you’re surrounded by.

Accessorize & Layer! Layers add dimension, depth and help on the chillier days! Cardigans, belts, statement necklaces, scarves, hats, blazers, ties (bow-ties) and suspenders are all great layering accessories.

Be timeless. Wear outfits and accessories that aren't considered too trendy.

One of the most important things to remember is to dress comfortable!
