General FAQs

What is your style and approach to photography?

My style and approach can be summarized in a few words - natural, simple and fun.  I am an on location natural light photographer - which I believe creates the most  relaxed and candid images.

Where will my session take place?

I will have you fill out a questionnaire prior to your session which will inquire about possible locations you have in mind. I generally have a few locations that I use, but I am always up to trying new spots!  I am an on location, natural light photographer so there will not be a studio shoot.  I go to you, or we can meet at a pre-planned location. For dogs, most are relaxed in familiar places, their yard, local park but discovering a new place can also be fun!

What time should we have our session?

I generally request that sessions either take place early morning or just before the sun sets.  The light that occurs at these times is golden and perfect!

I remember you taking a photo during my session that I don't see in my gallery, why isn't it included?

I have a very high standard of quality and offer only the best images of you and your family for your online proofing gallery.

Pet FAQs

How do I prepare for my pet photo session?

Step 1: Book your session! Once booked we will discuss all the fine details like location, style and what to bring!  I will get you to fill out a questionaire that will help me plan the session accordingly so that we can capture some amazing moments.
Step 2: If your pet is a dog, take them for a long walk about an hour before the session.  Let them burn off a bit of nervous energy.
Step 3: Arrive about 15 to the location about 15 minutes early - this will allow time for your dog to get comfortable with their surroundings, me and the camera.
Step 4: Make sure you bring water for you and your pet.

Besides dogs, do you photograph other animals?

Absolutely! Dogs, cats, pocket pets, birds - pretty much anything as long as I can get to them!
